Bright Eyes entstand 1995 in einem Keller in Omaha als Künstlername für die Arbeit des damals 15-jährigen Conor Oberst mit dem Produzenten und Multiinstrumentalisten Mike Mogis. Mogis und Komponist/Arrangeur/Multi-Instrumentalist Nate Walcott wurden 2006 zu vollwertigen Mitgliedern.
In den letzten mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten haben Bright Eyes eine Zeitkapsel-LP nach der anderen veröffentlicht – dringende Botschaften aus transzendenten, flüchtigen Epochen unseres kollektiven Lebens – und gleichzeitig eine robuste, reife, erzählerisch kohärente Diskografie zusammengestellt, die derzeit über Dead Oceans neu aufgelegt wird. Seit 2022 haben sie ihre neun Alben im Rahmen einer “Companion”-Reihe nach und nach wiederveröffentlicht, wobei jedes Album von einer neuen EP begleitet wird, die aus neu aufgenommenen Songs mit neuen Musikern (darunter Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Waxahatchee, First Aid Kit, Phoebe Bridgers und andere) sowie einem Coversong besteht.
Im Laufe von 28 Jahren haben Bright Eyes die Popkultur maßgeblich beeinflusst und sind in unzähligen Filmen und Fernsehsendungen aufgetreten. Ihre Songs wurden von Dutzenden von Künstlern gecovert, darunter Lorde, The Killers, Mac Miller, Phoebe Bridgers, Jason Mraz und beabadoobee, und von Rappern wie Young Thug und Lil Peep gesampelt. Für eine Band, die oft als Ausreißer wahrgenommen wurde, ist die Tiefe, Breite und Wirkung des Bright Eyes-Kanons bemerkenswert.

Please refrain from bringing the following items:
- bag or backpack larger than DIN A4 (21,0 x 29,7 cm)
- bulky items of any kind (suitcases, baskets, helmets, buggies, stick umbrellas etc.)
- drinks, food and snacks
- technical devices (notebooks, tablets, cameras, audio- or video recording devices, GoPros, selfie sticks, big power banks etc.)

Divergent from common regulations, different and stricter rules can be applied by the promoter of the concert. We will inform you about last-minute rearrangements on our website, on facebook and twitter.
Near the main entrance you will have the option to store things you cannot take into the Tempodrom with you. Please note that the space is very limited. The charge only covers costs and is a service from our side for our guests. As an alternative you can use lockers at the near Potsdamer Platz to store larger bags and backpacks.
Your jackets and other clothes can be stored inside the Tempodrom at the cloakroom which is located in the lower tier.
